For newbies, I always recommend the British Virgin Islands, as the distances there are rather short and there is a lot of mooring buoys. This very important environmental measure to avoid destruction by anchors costs money - but please do your part. With charter costs of many thousands of euros, you shouldn't complain about a few dollars for the buoy.
No matter how much information I give you here, it would always be nowhere near satisfactory.
